Baked Falafel with Herb Yogurt Dressing.

Hello Beautiful Beings,

Tasty Tuesday is here, I did this recipe because I was totally craving Falafel and I had none of the absolute correct ingredients (like dry chickpeas instead of canned and fresh herbs instead of dried), but I decided to try it anyway and it was yummy and simple to make. So here is my Falafel recipe, may not be your perfect Falafel but good when you are working with what you have.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients Falafel:

1 Can Chickpeas (rinsed and dried)

1 Medium Onion Chopped

1/3 cup Almond Flour

1 tsp Crushed Garlic

1/2 A Lemon Juiced

2 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Coriander Spice

2 tsp Dried Parsley

2 tsp Parika

Salt and Pepper to Taste

 

Method:

Preheat Oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Rinse and Dry Chickpeas

Chop Onion

Place all ingredients in a food processor pulse until all ingredients are together, you can play around with how much.

Roll into balls and place on a baking tray,

(I rolled mine in some Almond Flour afterwards but this is optional.)

Place in oven for 40- 45min. Keep checking. Turn them half way.

 

Ingredients Yogurt Dressing:

1 Tbsp Plain Yogurt (I used Double Cream)

1/4 Lemon Juice

Sprinkle Dried Parsley

Sprinkle Dried Italian Herbs

 

Method:

Place in bowl and mix it all together.

 

I placed the Falafels on mixed Lettuce, cucumber and tomato and drizzled my Yogurt dressing over the top.
