It’s Tasty Tuesday again, If you enjoy munching on some crunchy chips as snacks, here is a healthier version of your favourite snack. They do take a bit of time so be prepared.
With these Sweet Potato Chips you can play around with your seasoning. Remember, you have to enjoy what you are eating, so remember to play around with what you like, this is the only way we truly start loving to eat healthier food and start becoming more aware of what we are putting in our bodies.
700 g Sweet Potato (I used the orange ones)
1/4 Cup Olive Oil
Fresh Rosemary Chopped (1-2 Tbsp)
Salt to season to taste after cooking
Preheat oven 180 degrees Celsius.
Slice Sweet Potatoes even thickness.
Place in bag or tub place Olive Oil, Fresh Rosemary and dried herbs in the bag. Mix, swish so that oil covers every slice evenly.
Place slices flat on Baking tray (No Oil)
Place in oven and bake for 20 min (keep an eye on them)
Take them out and turn oven down to 100 degrees Celsius, once oven cooled place the potatoes in for a further hour. Keep an eye on them though this time will depend on the thickness of your slices so if they are thicker it will take longer.
Remove from oven, add salt to taste.
Just a side note, I never cooked all of the slices at once I cooked about half at a time.
